The "3rd International Symposium on Bioaerosols" hosted by Chang'an University was successfully concluded in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province from November 30 to December 2, 2018.This conference aims to promote the exchange, dialogue and cooperation of basic research and applied technologies in the field of bioaerosol, enhance the research level and international influence of related disciplines, strengthen academic exchanges between domestic and foreign scholars, and showcase the latest research on bioaerosols. The achievements and industrial products promote the all-round development of disciplines and related health industries, which can be called a feast in the professional field of bioaerosol.
In the meeting report, several experts mentioned a high-precision instrument that can quickly detect the concentration, particle size and classification of bioaerosols,WIBS-NEO,developed and produced by DMT in the United States.
Hangzhou Shallow-Sea Technology Co., Ltd., the general agent of DMT in China, is honored to be the sponsor of this conference. The WIBS-NEO produced by DMT is a highly sensitive analyzer that can measure bioaerosols. The instrument uses an ultraviolet xenon light source to excite 0.5-30 μm particle aerosols to produce fluorescence, thereby obtaining complete information on the particles. Compared with the use of UV laser sources, the UV Xenon light source can precisely select specific UV wavelengths, which greatly improves the accuracy of measuring common bioaerosols (tryptophan, NADH).
In addition, Shallow-Sea Technology also introduced to the experts two other equipments developed by DMT company - SP2 and PAX.
SP2 is an instrument for directly measuring the physical properties of single particle aerosol black carbon. The instrument uses laser-induced incandescent technology and scattering technology to measure single particle black carbon, and obtains information such as mass concentration, number concentration and aerosol particle size distribution. It is an ideal choice for researching black carbon and calibrating black carbon measuring instruments.
PAX is developed by American DMT Company and is a precise instrument for directly measuring aerosol light absorption coefficient and scattering coefficient. The instrument adopts photoacoustic technology, which can continuously measure the light absorption coefficient and scattering coefficient, extinction coefficient, single scattering albedo and black carbon or brown carbon mass concentration of aerosol in the 870nm, 532nm or 405nm band (optional) in real time.
Through the exchange platform of this conference, Shallow Ocean Technology can communicate and discuss with more experts and scholars in the industry in the field of bioaerosols, and actively respond to the progress of bioaerosol research. Shallow-Sea Technology will continue to provide more advanced analysis for experts and scholars. Instruments and intelligent solutions.
