On November 21st, the 15th National Games of the People's Republic of China (referred to as the National Games for short) drew to a successful close amid widespread attention.


The closing ceremony was held in Qianhai, Shenzhen. It marked the first time in the history of the National Games that the closing ceremony was staged on a coastal real-scene stage, featuring an innovative integrated design of on-land stands and a water-based performance area. A pioneering 270° sea-view immersive stage was adopted with the theme Starry Skies and Vast Oceans.


This grand feast of sports and culture not only showcased the outstanding demeanor of athletes, but also set extremely high requirements for meteorological service support.

For large-scale outdoor events, especially those held by the coast, the weather is highly volatile, featuring complex wind field structures, sudden formation of low clouds and rapid changes in visibility—all of which greatly increase the difficulty of meteorological support.

System operated like a hovering "Intelligent Sky Eye", keeping a non-stop watch over the sky.It is equipped with an ultra-high-definition visible light camera for daytime use, along with an infrared lens to meet the demand for cloud measurement at night. Boasting the function of dynamic cloud information analysis, it can simultaneously perform local analysis and comparison as well as cloud-based AI algorithm recognition. It captures and analyzes real-time data including cloud cover, cloud type, cloud height and weather phenomena across the full detection range, providing forecasters with intuitive and comprehensive "real-time sky maps".

Live Cloud Image Streaming, Evidence-Based Decision-Making: The high-definition all-sky images generated by the system allow forecasters to visually "witness" the entire process of cloud formation, development, movement and dissipation, providing irreplaceable decision-making basis for short-range forecasting.

Data Speaks, Warnings Are Precise: Through the intelligent identification and analysis of cloud images, the SCI-100 can accurately determine the development of convective cloud systems such as cumulonimbus clouds.
