The 3rd International Symposium on Microwave Radiometers and Highly Sensitive Aerosol Lidar Research and Application Technology was successfully held in Hangzhou
From April 18 to 19, the “3rd International Symposium on Microwave Radiometers and Highly Sensitive Aerosol Lidar Research and Application Technology” hosted by Hangzhou Shallow Technology Co., Ltd. was successfully held in Hangzhou. The meeting discussed in depth the theoretical research, observational experiments, and future development applications of microwave radiometers and high-sensitivity aerosol lidars.
The meeting specially invited the former deputy director of the China Meteorological Administration, the current deputy director of the China Meteorological Development Advisory Committee, Xu Xiaofeng, Professor Xie Yuanfu of the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences, Dr. Randolph Ware, chief scientist of Radiometrics, USA, and Dr. Zheng Yunhui, Sigma Space, USA Attendance at the same time, invited Dr. He Qianshan from Shanghai Meteorological Bureau, Professor Li Chengcai from Peking University, Professor Wang Zhenhui from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, and other 13 experts to report on the scene, with the provincial and municipal meteorological bureaus, environmental protection bureau, civil aviation bureau, and the ocean. Nearly 150 experts from bureaus, satellite centers, universities, research institutes and other related units conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges.

On the morning of the 18th, Director Xu Xiaofeng made a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the characteristics of the future meteorological detection system based on the deployment strategy and development history of China's meteorological observation. Later, Prof. Xie Yuanfu and Dr. Randolph Ware combined the international application cases of microwave radiometers to introduce the early warning forecasting and modeling techniques.

On the afternoon of the 18th, Dr. Zheng Yunhui conducted an in-depth discussion on aerosol radar algorithms, calibration and data products. Dr. He Qianshan, Professor Li Chengcai and Xie Hailing demonstrated the application and method of characterization data analysis, algorithm correction and prediction model establishment of aerosol detection by laser radar. Subsequently, General Manager Huang Hairen introduced the microwave radiometer monitoring software function independently researched and developed by Shallowhai Technology, and analyzed the inversion error and improvement of the microwave radiometer.

On the 19th, Professor Wang Zhenhui, Dr. Xu Guirong, Dr. Wan Wenlong and Fu Xinyu, combined with the comparison of microwave radiometer and sounding data under various weather conditions, the oblique path observation mode and brightness temperature data of the microwave radiometer MP-3000A. The technical application of revision and forecasting model establishment has been fully experimentally demonstrated.

During the meeting, Mr. Tong Haiming, General Manager of Shallowsea Technology, accepted an interview with a reporter from China Meteorological News. He introduced the current main business and market situation of Shuba Company to the reporter, and stressed that in the future, the meteorological service industry will follow the situation and expand thinking. Meteorological services are provided in various aspects: equipment leasing, software customization, production and research of sensors and equipment, etc., and strive to become a national first-class atmospheric product solution service provider within five years.
