On March 18, the fifth Sea Bottom Observation Scientific Conference was held in Zhuhai. The conference was co-sponsored by the Earth Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Sun Yat-sen University and Guangdong Provincial Laboratory of Marine Science and Engineering (Zhuhai), and hosted by the School of Marine Science of Sun Yat-sen University. More than 200 participants from domestic and foreign research institutes, universities and enterprises attended the conference. Chen Chunsheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Sun Yat-sen University, Chen Dake, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, director of the Academic Committee of the Conference, Director of Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Provincial Laboratory (Zhuhai), and Yu Sheng, Executive deputy Director of the Earth Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China attended the conference and delivered speeches. Wu Lixin, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Ocean University of China, delivered a guest lecture on "Reflections on the Frontier of Marine Science and Technology".

At the same time, an exhibition of Marine observation technology and products will be held. Hangzhou Shallow Sea Technology Co., LTD. (referred to as: Shallow Sea Technology) was invited to participate in the exhibition with CTD and water quality products independently developed. During the exhibition, many leaders and experts from Sun Yat-sen University, Westlake University, Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and other institutions visited Shallow Sea Technology booth. They had profound exchanges and discussions with the representatives of Shallow Sea Technology on the development progress of CTD series products and some technical problems of CTD series products applied in submersible.

The purpose of this meeting is to review and exchange domestic and foreign scientific research achievements and experience in seabed scientific observation, discuss the strategy of building China's seabed observation system, and promote the exchanges and cooperation among domestic systems, units and specialties.

Shallowsea Technology will continue to deepen independent research and development, actively strengthen communication and cooperation with superior leadership units and peers, exchange what they need, complement each other's advantages, and make continuous innovation, so as to contribute to the construction of submarine observation system and high-quality Marine development.
