From May 7 to May 20, 2019, the Second Institute Of Oceanography,MNR conducted a 14-day scientific expedition to the northern part of the South China Sea, with a total voyage of about 1,500 nautical miles. Shallow-Sea Technology was honored to participate and was responsible for the deployment and recovery of the mooring profiler (MMP) to escort this scientific expedition mission in the northern part of the South China Sea.
In the early stage of the project, the shallow-Sea Technology team carried out professional design and comprehensive preparation for the mooring submersible. During the 14-day scientific expedition, various difficulties were overcome with the unremitting efforts of shallow sea engineers and scientific expedition personnel. After the engineer's professional and patient debugging of the MMP, the deployment and recovery work was successfully completed, and satisfactory results were obtained.
Reasonable and accurate design of the anchor system submerged buoy plays a vital role in the smooth deployment and recovery of this time. In addition, engineers quickly respond to various emergencies, adjust plans in a timely manner, and cooperate with scientists to deploy and recover MMPs when the best conditions are reached.
The scientific research data measured by the MMP has been greatly recognized and praised by the scientific research personnel, providing reliable research data for scientific research in the physical ocean.
At the same time, five "most" achievements were also obtained:
· Deepest: deployment depth 400m-1900m
· Longest: climb length 1500m
· Maximum: about 600 profiles are acquired
· Longest: Continuous work for nearly three months
· The most complete: a deployment with the most complete process
This scientific expedition not only promotes the progress of academic research, but also accumulates valuable experience for the deployment of anchor anchors for marine scientific expeditions in my country, laying a solid foundation for further realizing the strategic goal of becoming a marine power.
Shallow-Sea Technology assisted the successful scientific expedition of the Second Institute of Oceanography, which confirmed the professionalism of product design, and also verified the solid foundation of Shallow-Sea Technology, ensuring the smooth use of the equipment and serving the research and application of users. Shallow-Sea Technology always adheres to the principle of customer first, adheres to the corporate tenet of "quality assurance, professional service, and customer satisfaction", provides professional equipment and services for domestic marine scientific research and investigation, and is a leading domestic marine and meteorological equipment and intelligent solutions. supplier.
Products for this study:McLane Moored Profiler(MMP)↓
The McLane Moored Profiler (MMP) produced by McLane Company in the United States is a self-contained measurement platform loaded with multiple sensors. It can set the depth, time interval, and pressure point of the profile by itself, and can also be selected according to the preset profile mode. For a specific season or cycle, it can provide long-term series of profile data of temperature, salinity, flow velocity and other environmental parameters.
Usually the complete mooring submersible consists of beacon and cursor, main float (can be equipped with ADCP), MMP, G6600 float, acoustic releaser, sinker, etc. from top to bottom.
